Moldavite Pendant

Moldavite Pendants are jewelry pieces set with genuine Moldavite, a rare green Tektite formed around 15 million years ago during the meteorite impact event that created the Nördlinger Ries crater in Germany. During this event, terrestrial material was melted, ejected, and rapidly cooled into natural glass before falling across parts of Central Europe. Most Moldavite is found in Czechia, especially in South Bohemia, and its distinctive green colour makes it one of the most recognisable impact glasses used in jewelry.

Moldavite Pendants may feature raw, naturally etched pieces or cut and polished cabochons, depending on the design. Raw Moldavite preserves the original sculpted surface, grooves, bubbles, and textures produced by formation and long-term soil etching, while polished settings highlight its translucency and depth of colour. Pendant designs can range from simple silver mounts to more elaborate settings, allowing the natural character of the Tektite to remain the main focus.

For collectors and jewelry buyers, Moldavite Pendants offer a wearable connection to a major cosmic impact event. They combine the rarity and geological significance of genuine Central European Tektite material with the practicality of a finished jewelry piece. Each pendant represents natural impact glass, shaped by an ancient event and carefully set for display or everyday appreciation.
