Now in its 60th year, Sainte Marie-aux-Mines has firmly established iteself as one of the world's great mineral shows. It attracts a similar number of vendors and visitors as Munich in October, making these two shows Europes biggest gemstone, minerals, & fossil shows.

 

'Sainte Marie' stands out amongst dealers and visitors alike as probably the most visually stunning of the world's mineral shows, with its picturesque backdrop of the Val d'Agent ('Silver Valley'). These foothills and valleys are one of Alsace’s most distinctive historic regions. The valley became famous during the Renaissance for its rich silver and other mineral deposits, attracting attention and wealth from across Europe, and leaving behind a legacy that still defines the region today. 

 

Every June, Sainte Marie-aux-MInes in the heart of the valley, comes alive during Mineral & Gem show. Set among the town’s narrow streets and historic buildings, the event brings together collectors, dealers, miners, lapidaries, and museums from around the globe.
