Politique d’expédition

It's no surprise that shipping is something we take extremely seriously. Once you have paid for an item it is yours, and it is our resposibility and duty to get it to you as quickly as possible, whilst minimising risks and without compromising safety and integrity. We respect other people's property in the same way we would would want other people to respect ours.

Our goal is to provide collectors with a reliable and professional purchasing experience from order to delivery. Specimens are supplied with labels, our certificate of authenticity, and any provenance and/or associated information appropriate to the item. This is essential to preserve the item's scientific and collector value. Whether you are purchasing your first meteorite or adding a rare specimen to an established collection, every order is handled with care to ensure it reaches you safely and securely.

Processing Times

We aim to get purchases shipped as quickly as possible, and in most cases this is within 2-4 business days, if not faster. 90% of items are shipped within 3 business days. However, please understand that Spain is famous for its local and national fiestas and corresponding midweek holidays, where businesses like the post office (Correos) is closed. These holidays are not always as easy to predict as one might expect, however we always endeavor to ship the following day when shipping services resume.

Save on shipping by purchasing multiple items.

We will combine shipping for all your purchases from us.

Packaging Materials

Every item we sell is carefully packaged to help ensure it arrives safely and in the condition described. Many specimens are unique natural objects that cannot be replaced, so appropriate packaging is selected according to the size, weight, and fragility of each item. Every order is prepared with protection and presentation in mind. In most cases we use foam and/or bubble-wrap to protect the item itself, and use padded envelopes or shipping boxes to carry the item to its final destination.

Shipping Services

We ship orders both domestically and internationally using established postal and courier services, like UPS, FedEx, Certified Post, etc. We only use services that include tracking, through online brokerages like Packlink and Pirate Ship.

Where shipping options are available, they will be offered at the checkout. If you wish to use your own shipping account, please let us know at the checkout in the notes section. We will then contact you about this.

Insurance

Insurance is optional and when chosen by the purchaser, is added at cost at the checkout. In most cases it runs at around 2% of the insured value.

Shipping methods, tracking options, delivery times, and insurance availability may vary depending on destination and the nature of the item being shipped.

International Customers and Importation Responsibilities

International customers should be aware that local customs procedures, import duties, taxes, and delivery requirements may apply in their country. All importation procedures and costs are the responsibility of the buyer, although we are always available to provide any necessary documentation required on these occasions.

Tariff/Harmonised Code For Exported Goods

For all our meteorite, tektite, and natural glass items, we only use the tariff number (Harmonized System - HS code), 7103.10.00.00, which identifies the contents of a parcel as Rough or Partially Worked Stones (not precious). In over 30 years of shipping globally, we have had by far the best experience using this code, since it demands the least amount of paperwork and is duty-free for many countries.
